Okay, this is definitely the longest day I've had in a while.
I'm deciding if I should post all my journal entries from this weekend or not. We'll see.

I've learned a thing or two the past couple days.
I've been thinking about serious things.
I was having really sad thoughts last night.
I have Critical Battery right now.
I should finish this later then.

I want to be so happy again. Happy like I was back in the day.

Fl, GA, SC, NC, KY, TN, NC and back to SC all in one weekend.

As soon as we got home last night I got out of the van and realized it was freezing.
This morning when I woke up I had the worst headache. My eyes are red and watery, I have been sneezing since last night and my nose is all red and hasn't stopped running since we got home.
Ugh. I'm not even home 24 hours and this weather has made me sick. Not a promising start of Fall.
I want to go back to Florida where it's warm!
On a more cheerful note-- I'm headed to Kentucky for a wedding my dad's doing tonight. Tomorrow we're playing at a street festival in Whitley City, Kentucky. Sunday is church in same city. Sunday night is something in Knoxville, Tennessee. Monday is a Harvest Gathering prayer & planning meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.
On another Upbeat/Cheerful note-- I'm wearing jeans, socks*, boots and a sweater. I stepped on so many crunchy leaves since I've been here. No sign of a real scarf or coat yet. I'll let you know when those show up. ;)

So, I guess I should write about swimming in the ocean and loving the beach.
I guess I should write about leaving Florida.
I should write about my family and all that we have to do this weekend.

9 cousins and a birthday cake...

Birthday cake for Daniele

It looks like a watermelon.
I would forget all the birthday candles. ugh. But she blew out Carley's finger and we all used our imaginations.
 So, we were all having a great time last night. Leastwise I was.
And we ate cake. and steak. I had a few laughs with my cousins. I love seeing my family!
I've missed them all so much.

Today is the first of October.
I will probably blog about Fall as soon as I feel like it's here. I'm not feelin' it though. I guess it's because I'm in Florida.

Florida

I'm sitting in my Grandmothers sun-room right now. We are in Satellite Beach, FL
We will only be down here for a very short time. And that short time is full of meetings and appointments and whatnot.
Its overcast, but I can see the sun shining behind all the clouds a little bit. All the windows are open and there is a very nice ocean breeze. It all smells like rain. Its been pouring hard today. I love it when it rains here.
I've been working on our newsletter/DVD thing all morning. packaging it and all that. But I'm heading to the library now.
Ben is wearing a bright red shirt spinning around and dancing in the rain outside.
I love him so much.

I'm happy.
I realized what I was missing all this time.
It was Florida.

Something written on my arm this morning...

Sometimes, I wake up in the morning and see ink stains on my hands. Actually usually I do.

It's all because of being left-handed. Also thinking on things in the middle of the night and writing them down in the dark before you forget them. 

This morning there were 3 notes for me. One on each hand and a third on my arm.

I don't remember writing any of those things. And I only know what two of them mean.

My little sister...

Grace Clark has a strange obsession with turtles these days and had two little ones as pets. 
They were eaten by her cat Snowball. 
She got over it quickly however and found a newer, bigger turtle and has named it Willy.
I don't think Willy will be eaten. I hope not. 
She says if anything happens to Willy (and I quote) "Jess... I can always just get another turtle.  seriously there are sooo many in the garden." 
not the least bit worried. wise child. 
she baffles me.
